What is Hemp Extract balm?

Hemp Extract balm is a topical preparation infused with cannabidiol (Hemp Extract) used to heal and soothe the skin. Fresh Farms balms and topicals contains the highest quality full spectrum Hemp Extract oil, cold-pressed hemp seed oil, shea butter and coconut oil with essential oils and other nutrients that naturally protect, nourish and moisturize every type of skin.

How does it work?

When you apply Hemp Extract oils or balms onto your skin, it will almost never reach the bloodstream. Using cannabinoids this way and you’ll get targeted relief to a specific area. The skin absorbs cannabinoids so that they can interact with cannabinoid receptors nearby. Human skin, in general, is not very permeable. Skin blocks the majority of substances to prevent them from entering the body.

Absorption rates of cannabinoid through your skin are very low. For Hemp Extract topicals to work, you have to apply them very generously, as in thick enough to break the dermal barrier to reach the bloodstream. If there is enough material, your skin pores will absorb Hemp Extract to affect targeted healing. Additionally, this method works best when lotions, salves and balms contain a very high concentration of Hemp Extract.

Hemp Extract Oil for Dogs: How it Works

Cannabidiol (Hemp Extract) is a substance that is found in a cannabis or hemp plant. Unlike THC that creates a ‘buzz’, Hemp Extract is NOT a psychoactive stimulus, but rather provides your dog with a calming feeling and pain-relieving sensations without harming them with potential intoxicating effects.

You may be interested to know that both humans and dogs have the same endogenous cannabinoid system. Hemp Extract acts by targeting these receptors located in the brain, organs, central nervous system, and immune cells that stimulate relaxing effects.

What Is a Tincture?

Hemp Extract can be administered in many forms, from smoking a cannabis strain that produces a lot of the molecule to consuming it in edibles. Among the most popular methods—especially for individuals trying a cannabis-based treatment for the first time—is through a tincture.

Tinctures are produced by steeping cannabis flowers or isolates in a high-proof grain alcohol, then applying low heat for a significant span of time. This allows the active compounds in cannabis to infuse into the neutral spirit, much of which is then boiled off. The result is a potent liquid that delivers the effects of the cannabinoid molecules without any smoking or other form of combustion. In the growing consumer market, producers will often add carrier oils and other complementary ingredients, such as an orange oil to improve the taste of a tincture.

How to Take a Tincture

Because a Hemp Extract tincture is concentrated, it’s designed to be taken in small doses. This is why most tinctures come with a built-in dropper that allows users to take small, carefully measured quantities.

Since the doses are relatively small, tinctures can be administered in a variety of ways. For patients looking to take their Hemp Extract with food, a dose of tincture can be mixed into a meal like soup or pasta. It can also be added easily to drinks like coffee and tea; an evening cup of chamomile paired with Hemp Extract tincture stands to be even more relaxing than usual.

Tinctures can also be taken sublingually, or by applying them underneath the tongue.  This method of delivering Hemp Extract tincture is already common in epilepsy treatments. Research has found that this delivery method makes cannabinoids more easily and consistently available to the body than other oral alternatives.

What Is Hemp Extract

Hemp Extract, or cannabidiol, is a compound found primarily in the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. It’s one of many powerful cannabinoids found in hemp, and is known for supporting body and mind in various ways.

What Are The Benefits Of Hemp Extract & Whole Plant Hemp Supplements

Many people integrate Hemp Extract into their health routine to support their cellular and molecular health.* Hemp Extract, or cannabidiol, is just one of over 80+ cannabinoids that can be extracted from hemp. In fact, scientists found that these plant compounds have a better effect on the body when they work together, rather than alone. This means that Hemp Extract and all those other great compounds can support the body more fully than just Hemp Extract. And how, exactly, do they provide support to the body? Among the many benefits that our users experience, some of the main ones are: a sense of calm and focus; relief from everyday stresses; help in recovery from exercise-induced inflammation; and support for healthy sleep cycles.

Is This Considered Marijuana

No. Fresh Farm products comes from hemp plants, not marijuana. Hemp and marijuana are close relatives, but not the same. By definition, hemp contains no more than .3% THC - the psychoactive compound that is found in higher concentration in marijuana. By contrast, hemp naturally has higher levels of Hemp Extract, a non-psychoactive compound known for helping human bodies maintain health and overall wellness.

What Is The Difference Between Hemp Oil & Hemp Extract

There’s so much confusion between these terms. Some people refer to “hemp oil” when speaking about hemp seed oil while others use it as shorthand to refer to an oil that carries Hemp Extract (cannabidiol) extract. Let’s tackle the first one first: oil from hemp seeds is primarily composed of dietary fats, which means it can provide benefits for skin but does not include all of the same plant compounds (such as Hemp Extract). These phytocannabinoids -- cannabidiol, among others-- are found naturally in the leaves and flowers (also known as “aerial parts”) of hemp. After deriving the cannabinoids from plant parts during our production process, we’re left with a broad-spectrum hemp extract that retains a range of the phytocannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids - all of which are found naturally in hemp.

Will Fresh Farms Products Show Up On A Drug Test

As a broad-spectrum cannabinoid extract, in addition to cannabidiol (Hemp Extract) and more than 80 other cannabinoids in hemp, Fresh Farms may contain a trace amount of the cannabinoid THC, less than .3%. Much like the consumption of poppy seeds may lead to a positive drug test for opioids, the consumption of certain hemp products may lead to a positive drug test for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is inherently present in trace amounts in hemp plants. The legal limit of THC in hemp is no more than 0.3%. It’s important to understand that the underlying science behind the conversion of certain cannabinoids to other related cannabinoids when consumed is not yet fully understood. If you are subject to drug testing we strongly suggest consulting yocannabinoids, and the possibility of trace, but legal, amounts of THC inherent in hemp products are all factors to consider.
